Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan untuk menganalisis kinerja antena wajan bolic sebagai penguat sinyal nirkabel berbasis reflektor paraboloid guna meningkatkan kualitas, stabilitas, dan jangkauan jaringan komunikasi di lingkungan Universitas Mulawarman. Eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan wajan bolic sebagai reflektor paraboloid dalam memperkuat sinyal nirkabel. Wajan bolic digunakan untuk memfokuskan gelombang elektromagnetik ke titik fokus guna meningkatkan kualitas dan jangkauan sinyal internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas wajan bolic dalam memperkuat sinyal nirkabel, serta mencari titik terbaik sinyal di Unit Layanan Terpadu dan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Mulawarman. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menganalisis faktor-faktor lingkungan yang memengaruhi kualitas sinyal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arah barat daya merupakan titik optimal dengan sinyal paling stabil dan jangkauan hingga 62 meter, sementara arah selatan dan tenggara masing-masing mencapai 46 meter dan 51 meter. Sinyal pada arah lainnya menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih rendah. Eksperimen ini membuktikan bahwa wajan bolik efektif sebagai penguat sinyal nirkabel berbiaya rendah, terutama di daerah dengan keterbatasan sumber daya.
